Hi all.
I just got my hand in this one, it feels like it’s made of aluminum.
Can you see if this is real and some more info about what it is?
Thanks.

It is a Work Day Tag Arbeit 1936 badge brooch pin.
It looks very, very new. Not like 83 years old....
But I am not an expert.
These were made to commemorate 1'st of May, 1936 there are literally hundreds of makers that produced these "Tinnies" and they are rather cheap and fun to collect if one was to do so for makers alone.. G
I'd rather be A "RaD Man than a Mad Man "
Not to put too fine a point on it, but WW2 was still three years in the future in 1936 ...
Real to me, and the price should be under $30.00 and Your welcome, your welcome, your welcome, your welcome.. We also do Bar Mitzva's and Weddings 24-7.. G

Tinnie looks in very fine condition and these type of fund raising donation badges were made in the thousands as mentioned by our stellar members who have already replied..
A very nice original May Day badge..
These "tinnies" (named in many cases due to the material used to manufacture them) were my first introduction to collecting Third Reich collectibles, one because of the prices (they varied from $5 to $10 each), and secondly due to the abundance of them..
If you are interested in collecting the Tinnies and other Party badges there are some excellent reference books out there that will help you in identifying these badges..
"Collectors Guide No 1, Tinnies of the Third Reich" Produced by the Staff of THE FOX HOLE
"Collectors Guide No 2, Tinnies of the Third Reich" Produced by the Staff of THE FOX HOLE
"Collectors Guide No 3, Tinnies of the Third Reich" Produced by the Staff of the Manion's International Auction House
These three books are some of the first that were printed by Ron Manion in the 1970's and 1980's and they were the Tinnie Books to have during the days prior to the internet..
Another set of books is by Joseph Cassidy and Chrystopher Alexander: Here is a link to their books:

Finally there are some books by an author in Germany who has in my opinion some of the best Tinnie Books that are out there and I would suggest any of these books if you are serious about collecting Day Badges, Winter Relief Pins and other party badges. The Name of the Author of these books as well as others is Reinhard Tieste.. Here is a link to the books that I have...
