NSDAP Tie Pin

Here is a purchase that I recently made as it seemed a curious item to me. Some research indicated that it might be a quite early party tie pin although how early I can't say. It does have the correct RZM code (M1) for badges and insignia (Metallabzeichen) and the maker 72 being Fritz Zimmermann of Stuttgart.

It measures in at 1" across the wings and has a nicely knurled pin.

I think this piece is a good addition to my slowly growing party collection although of course if i've blundered onto a bad piece I would appreciate knowing so.

Thanks Ade, I really like this piece. This macro shot shows some of the plating that has lifted on the middle claws of the adler. I take it that quality plating in the manufacturing process is indicative of early manufacture? Perhaps silver or nickel plate?
