Didier: I'm not an expert on identifying pins and badges, but in my opinion this one is probably genuine. Wasserkuppe-Rhön is a high plateau in Hesse that has been a center for sailplane (glider) activity since 1911. It was heavily used during the NS period by NSFK members. The pin you displayed is commonly found on several auction sites and sells for about 60 Euro, and certainly represents a glider race competition held there in 1940; probably an annual event. Dwight
I would be wary of any enamelled NSFK badges of this type, they have been faked for many years.

hi , i agree with the above post . have seen many examples of fake enamel NSFK badges over the years . an english repro dealer nicholas morigi has listed various types in the past including this award.his small enamel membership badges are all over the place on dealers sites and not just the small time dealers but also on high end dealers sites at very high prices ..pavel
Never seen it before, but like on the recent NSKK pennant the Icarus figure looks great.
