looked up m7 not m1 yep this is Deschler.

i dont like this eagle,,,i believe it to be bogus,,,never seen one in 55 years of collecting,,dont like the markings on the pin,malformed swas and eagle looks odd...i could be wrong,,but i would pass on this unless it came with direct Vet Provenance

I must agree. Finding a manufacturer's RZM mark on the pin and not on the eagle itself is very curious. Further, what use would this serve? NSKK wore their eagles on the sleeve, not on the breast. Only the Transport Speer Organizations could wear a breast eagle, often minus the NSKK banner. During their existance, the Speer group was never authorizaed a white summer tunic that might have had removable insignia. In my opinion, a fantasy 4th Reich item.

there is one pictured in angolias nskk book page 156..they claim pinback eagle for field cap. there was one that went thru empire military auction a few years back..they claimed dress mess eagle..im not sure..

The one in the Angolia book is marked M9/52. M9 is the code for manufacturers of rally badges or tinnies. This would make no sense for a cap badge. I have never seen any evidence of such an eagle being worn on a NSKK sidecap. It does not make any sense to have a removable metal eagle when sewn on cloth was the norm. Reference books can contain errors and fakes-some by mistake and some on purpose.
