    From what I have heard and read, these are post war souvenir pieces. The ones seen in MOST photos are the normal red / white paddles.

    Paddles as this actually existed and are no fantasy pieces.
    But I guess both are indeed fakes, when looking how they
    are constructed. Things are not correct. Sometimes it is
    difficult to see, but here it is obvious!

    Checked my paper and photo file about paddles! The police
    one is anyway a modern copy. The NSKK one will be so,
    as it has the same marks.

    Here the actual 1938 order for the police paddle:

    Here the July 1937 order from the NSKK when to use a paddle:

    Here the handing over of the NSKK paddle in Austria:

    (sorry I cannot get it vertical. Have no idea for what reason)

    I do not show original paddles, for not making it easier for
    the fakers.

    In the same series as the two starting this thread, there do
    exist also a blue paddle with Feldgendarmerie for the Luftwaffe;
    a red version vor the HJ Streifendienst and a green paddle for
    the Bahnhofs-Wache with an army eagle.
    I must admit I never have seen a police paddle in use with an
    actual and original photo. Anyway I cannot remember this!
