It is definitely the wrong cut for the regular Wehrmacht.
It could very likely be what you have suggested. If so, I would expect a significant difference in value unless that is what you are looking for specifically.

IMO trap is not original and is wrong style for this type of cap.

Thank you MAP, I thought so but with my limited knowledge in this field was unsure. I don't like the stitching myself.

I agree, probably female and the insignia has been added by some one.

Agree with Sarge. Female cap. Close ups of trap eagle stitching would help. The top looks correct, but I don't see any other stitch patterns due to small pics. Is it machined or hand stitched ?
