    Default Overseas cap question

    Hello guys,

I am looking at this overseas cap and wondering a few things....

It is on a gun forum and the seller asked for a price check and was told: due to its size, 53, and cut that it is a female assistant to the Wehrmacht. Is this true? I won't post my opinion of value but if true would it be much lower or higher in value to a males overseas cap?

Also my opinion is that the insignia may be restored at a later date due to the stitching. Am I way off there?

    Hello Chris,
It is definitely the wrong cut for the regular Wehrmacht.
It could very likely be what you have suggested. If so, I would expect a significant difference in value unless that is what you are looking for specifically.
Here is a photo of my Heer Art. O/S cap.

Sorry, I don't know them well enough to give one.

IMO trap is not original and is wrong style for this type of cap.

Thank you MAP, I thought so but with my limited knowledge in this field was unsure. I don't like the stitching myself.

    Thumbs up

I agree, probably female and the insignia has been added by some one.

Agree with Sarge. Female cap. Close ups of trap eagle stitching would help. The top looks correct, but I don't see any other stitch patterns due to small pics. Is it machined or hand stitched ?
