Patch identification help.....
Hello everyone,
I bought this patch maybe a year or so ago off emedals, they had it labeled as SS offciers medical trade patch, in was eventually sewn on a flag by an Allied soldier. SS trade patches being diamond or circular, I was thrown off, and never really sure. I happen to run into a period photo that came in the mail today. It's hard to tell from the pic, what is he? SS or SA? Ty.
Hello, just my opinion, SA, the Kepi's had many different colors as well.. Again, just observations.

The patch is also SA, as SS trade patches where diamond shaped not oval.
Exactly. So is this oval patch a SA patch? And likely an emedals mis-label?by CBH
Yes, even early pattern examples where diamond shaped.
SS always peaks more interest and a higher price.
