Postschutz Thread

One organization I have a lot of interest in is the Postschutz. It was tasked with guarding mail, telegraph, and radio stations.
As it was a small organization, there is not a lot of material out there on its uniforms, history, or organisation.

It was an armed formation, and existed not only in the Reich proper, but the occupied territories as well, both east and west.

In the Reich proper, the Postschutz wore orange-piping on their collar tabs and visors.

This is very rare--an Officer tunic for GG Postschutz. This would be worn with the above hat

Here is a nice insignia chart for Postschutz in the Reich-proper. The photo depict Reich-proper orange piping around the tabs:

This is a Postschutz buckle--note the 2 signal bolts on either side above the horn (the traditional symbol of the Post)

The Postschutz even had their own dagger. Note, once again, the 3 bolts on either side--this is the standard insignia of the Postschutz:

The sleeve patch that was worn on the left upper arm. Some had an orange border, others without. Some say "Postschutz", others do not.

The bullion ones would be either private purchase or reserved for officers.

Apparently the P/S had their own helmet.
