RAD Cap Badge - Traditional? Gau?

Article about: I've been told that this badge is one of the traditional badges worn on the RAD cap. Can anyone please confirm and where can I find a list of all the different badges worn? Thank you. Tom

A most interesting subject, the RAD traditions badges and in-depth covered in volume 5 from the series
"Headgear of Hitler's Germany". The pages 387 through 448 (so over 60 pages) do explain all about
the existing forms and with most photos are shown where such badge is being worn. Many photographs of
such badgs are also included in front and reverse.

Thanks HPL2008 to pointing out my book. The subject also was covered years ago in magazines like the
German "Militaria" ultimate 2002 and early 2003 (so over ten years ago in various issues), as well as
in the "Internationales Militaria-Magazin" in spring and summer 2009 (three parts).

I intended to show the RAD traditions badges when I once collected them,
but could nog find the photographs. Finally I did and I like to show them in
the way I did display them!
I have never regretted when I sold TR stuff, but after nine years, I am missing
them! I had quite some variations and many Original photographs with the
badges in wear. I owned all samples, was missing only one!! With the shown
photos two do lack. Also shown are some not official badges.

The last one I purchased and showed in volume 5 from the series "Headgear of
    Hitler's Germany
". This badge is extremely rare!

The badge I was missing from the official patterns as shown in the book with
the order from the Verordnungsblatt. After years of research I had found out
no collector or dealer had ever seen this one. The question now is: was it ever
    issued actually?

    Thank you for everyone's help.
Wilhelm, your collection was, excuse the expression, bloody marvelous. I didn't realize that the Olympics badge also fell into this category.
Adrian, thanks for the link, will be going there no to have a read through.

StuG III/Tom: No, the Olympics badge was not an official headgear badge. I owned two with prongs
as for attaching to headgear. Most known do have a safety-pin. An expert specialist and restorer had
explained and told me the attaching of the prongs was originally done and not done after the war.
So, I had decided to show them along with my official badges.
For years it was thought such badge could have been worn with the white "Robin Hood" cap, but
no photograph does actually shown the wearing during the Olympic Games in 1936.

Maybe I will start again collecting them. The "hunt" is exciting and to find them again in the numbers
I owned (65) them will take me some years.

Since re-starting to collect the traditions badges, in January this year, I do own now
five of them with one of the easiest to get the Niedersachsen-Ost (as shown in post
1 and 17), which was the first one. A nice one from Cupal material.

I am not in a hurry, so it will take years before I will have most of them. Some are
extremely hard to find and since some years also quite expensive!
