I am away on business without any reference material and wanted a forthright opinion on this Arbeitt Dienst Cape clasp..
My concern is that the "Wheat" symbol does not match the RAD buckle portrayal.. And "Why" ?? Many Thanks... G

The construction does look good to me, and it does match the cap insignia.

I can see faking buckles, badges, SS, helmets and such, but a cape chain? Heck it didn't even know they existed Well except for Liberace and super man

Wish I could help you more G, beyond that it looks like it has the right age and that the pin style looks correct. Good luck.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

The back-plates for the both round devices are missing (by that you can see the prongs).
They are normally there (see cataloque image).
There is a tiny photo in Angolia/Littlejohn on page 306. You can see the cape is being
closed by two round "things". Further one can find a photo in volume 5 from "Headgear
    of Hitler's Germany
    ", which I do include here (Hierl-photo).

This closure is known as "Spanierschloss" and is in-depth described in the DV.18:
Bekleidungsvorschrift für den RAD from January 1939. It has either the color
Altsilbertönung, but also exists in a golden anodized form. The pins are put through
a so-called Unterlegscheibe. The chain should have 10 links.

From a Fr. Linden cataloque. It is also shown in Assmann. Look at the backplates!!
