My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

These are very difficult to find. Back in the old days of plenty, I only vet purchased one of these. He did not want to sell him but I told him of al the rest of his common items, it was the only piece I wanted and he sold it to me instead of loosing out on a sale of everything. Nice find.

Correct one from Imme & Sohn in all its details.
As far as I remember the only gorget that has
the middle tang with manufacturer's name upside
down. Just missing the cloth backing.

Remember the gorget goes with a tunic and the
    typical headgear, the "Kaffeebohne"!! A
field-cap only was worn when "on rest"!!

The translated manufacturer's regulation is in
my German gorget book. Including the RAD-
Streifendienst version the chapter has about 28
    pages.

Thanks Wilhelm. Here is the flag bearer wearing a great coat and gorget. Agree my side cap is not proper headgear for the march. I am a purist as well but at this point my soldier is marching out of regulation Appreciate your knowledge as always.

Yes, I have seen it too. But then it was when the weather-situation was very cold.
It then happened on orders of the High-Command for the district or area.
