RAD officers Cuff Title "Gmsland"?

I have seen lots of cuff titles and some of them were even original. But I have never seen a RAD one. What is up with the 44 on the top of the lable? Anybody got any thoughts? I am thinking that this is original just because all of the other stuff was and the cost was nothing. Doug

I can tell you that the cufftitle is EMSLAND, a region in Germany....These were first issued in 1937, and the 44 could well be the year of manufacture...

This is a commemorative band for an RAD man assigned at the Gau level. This title was awarded to personnel who had served in the volunteer labor service prior to 1933 in the area of the Ems River. Nice original title.
