GWAR, why starting a new thread when there is already at least one good thread about the broaches?
This thread was started 05-25-2008 by Adrian Stevenson as Reichsarbeitsdienst weibliche Jugend. broach

Another RADwJ (Sorry for the J ) it should be a left facing 'L"..
Err, no, actually, it's simply a "J": "Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend" = "National Labor Service of the Female Youth".

Hope I don't sound daft, Wim, but I'm afraid I can't follow you. The above brooch is for RADwJ members and doesn't bear the RADL mark.

I believe I have posted in error... My regrets... G

See GWAR's answer. These broaches do not have this marking (anyway most often) as they have nothing to do with rank.

Sorry for the confusion... The above mentioned "Broach" is indeed a Reichsarbietdienst der weiblichen Jugend or RADwJ.. In this instance the "J" denotes youthful girls / women..
In previous posts I have said "RADJ" concerning the triangular mark.. In all actuality it is "RADL" as Wim has shown in post # 4 Reichsarbeitsdienstleitung.. Thanks to all for contributing to this thread G-Man
