Lots of variations shown from various posters here and especially David North --- thanks to you all, very informative thread! Also, GREAT info from HPL as always! Always had an eye on one of these but I must admit I've been quite surprised by the very differing opinions on these on various forums.

A maker marked one, well... one w. maker marked attachment anyway, would be nice to find... are these rare?

Thankyou for your kind supportive words and which are greatly appreciated.

Erich is unfortunately quite correct, insofar as the maker marked badges have now "gone to ground@. I cannot remember when I last saw one, other than the standard (non maker marked) hollow back and solid back types, for sale.

All is not lost though, as a well known US dealer currently has a quite superb silver and 1000 marked version for sale at and wait for it - at a whisper under USD 3,000/- excluding postage of course.

    Regards,

    David
