Here are a brace of the Assmann S-A Treffen Braunschweig 1931.

In my opinion, a super looking badge. One which started life as a lowly meeting "donation" type and which of course later, was elevated to a National Decoration due to the recognised importance of that particular SA meeting.

There are I think two designs (first pattern with a round type shape or configuration and the second pattern with an oval type shape or configuration, the latter as shown).

In relation to the second pattern, they are encountered in both hollow and solid back form. This is however I think a very rare badge and yet many are always available on both the numerous dealer and auction sites.

As far as the two shown are concerned, I really cannot hand on heart say that I am sure that they are pre 1945 examples.
