Hello, perhaps HJ ?
The best Militaria forum in France is here : http://deutsch-militaria.forumactif.us/
Hello Janis
no i dont think it is HJ, but it tries to be a sa Medical assistant armband as you wrote..
they normally looked like this one..
not saying yours is a bad one just never saw one like it before.. could be a variation of the armband i show?
Maybe others will know.
The HJ ones looked like these..
A HJ doctor armband
and a HJ medic armband.
The patches shown in post 1 and 3 do NOT belong upon an armband, but were sewn
directly upon the arm of the tunic. Normally! But as so often the one or the other
"clown" will have changed the regulations himself.
Globally:
The patch from post 1 was introduced with the entry from June 15, 1937 (Verordnungsblatt
der OSA, number 155, 1937. P. 53). Nothing is said in the order it was worn upon an
armband, but it was said (auf dem linken Unterarm aufgenäht).
The RAD-version also was to be worn upon the arm and not upon an armband. It was
introduced October 8, 1937 (Verordnungsblatt 1937, Nr. 822 - GA 5207a-391/37 ).
The white armband with Lebensrune was for the SA introduced. It was announced in the
Verordnungsblatt der OSAF from January 30, 1938. The white armbands for the HJ were
actually mentioned to be worn since January 18, 1939 with special occasions.

And thank you for clearing that up
Excellent as always wisdom and research beats the internet everyday...
Thank you for always being a library of knowledge
A true rarity these days!
yes, they did exist, but there was a difference mentioned in "when to be worn what",
especially related to the armbands for the HJ!
I must have a photo where the white armband is being worn by girls during a meeting,
but I do not have the time to look. I will be gone for a few weeks after the weekend
while I am taking care from my girlfriend (volunteerd aid) who will have some operations.
Someone must keep an eye, isn't?
So now and then I will have a look at the forum.
