Sport tinnie

Article about: John, about your WHW tinny. The triangle is one of three. The round one you posted in another thread is second of three. So you have to look out only for the last one with swastika and iron

This is a Winterhilfswerk (Winter Charity Campaign) tinnie. It would have been awarded for making a donation. These events ran each winter from 1933-1945 during which the Hitler Youth were active in collecting donations. Not sure of the year this one would have been issued.

Valued at around $10 incase you were wondering.

I've tried searching for a list as I have a few and wanted to put dates to them (this is why I knew what this one was for from viewing so many examples), but with little success.

There is an active database of them on the forum GMIC.CO.UK, but you have to be a member to view the posted photos and I didn't want to sign up...

This tinny was awarded on march 28 to march 29, 1942. The group contains three different tinnies, called "heroic emblem". Its your tinny, one with sword pointing up over swastica in a round oak wreath and one with sword over swastika and iron cross.

There are some books about the WHW-tinnies but all out of order. A nice online-site is Winterhilfswerk

    Hello debbi082009

I have these 2 pins/ tinnies and I cannot identify them. I have posted them before in the Forum but nobody has given an id, perhaps you know them.
    Regards
    John
