    I see no problems with this pin.

    Yes. It's the Army's Zivilabzeichen. Soldiers and officials on active duty could wear it with civilian clothes.

    (The Navy version was gold, and the Air Force version was a Luftwaffe eagle.)

    My grandfather wearing the pin:
