It is a sympathy abzeichen John

Depending on the size it could have also been attached to a watch chain.

It seems to have suffered a small amount of damage to the top enamel either with stress on the ring or where it has been resoldered to the top?

    Cheers
    Doug

It is impossible to make a list of this type of badges (Schmuck).
Here some from an Austrian seller from about 1933/1934.
They were used for all kinds of purposes, also by females.

    Hi Wilhelm
Thank you for your great info, again it is what I thought a piece of charm (Schmuck) for women
    Regards
    John

It is not specifically mentioned to be for women and so it was
for men too! This one can conclude from the text from the
    leaflet.

It wouldn't surprise me if this swastika pendant is earlier than 1930's. The colours suggest the National Socialists, but it's well to remember that the swastika was a popular charm symbol in Europe and America from the 1890's to the time of the First World War.
