    Hello Everyone,
Today I will be displaying my swastika stickpin. I do not know much about this and have seen many similar but never any that are the same. It has "sterling" printed on the back which I assume is the silver it is made with. It is a nice little addition to my collection. Enjoy

Nice little pin! Unfortunately, despite it being fairly old and vintage, it is not Third Reich, as it is "backwards" and basically a nice older "lucky" sign! Probably not too popular, even so, after the 1930's!

Originally a broach, as can be seen by the remains of the hinge and hook.

    Hmmm,
I wonder what this could be from then? It was part of a collection of medals that my family member brought back from the war. Too many new questions. Thanks for the quick replies!!!!

Keep in mind that the swastika was considered a symbol of good fortune before the Nazis hijacked it for their own use...even CocaCola used the swastika in its advertisements before WWII, and there was a Swastika High School in Pennsylvania, just to give you a few examples...I agree that this is not Nazi Party-related...

    Glenn,
I never realized that these different groups used the swastika! Thank you for the information!

Maybe that's what drew SS general August Heißmeyer to work for the Coca-Cola company post-war...
