Indeed, so many tinnies are still available today at
reasonable prices - enough to keep a collector
busy for years - and a study in themselves.
The one above has to be the most common
I would think, next to the 1935 "Seefahrt
Ist Not" type.
Lol - I wonder if this 'Day Of Labour' was
actually a holiday......... ? !

Hi G, I agree with the comments you made.
Hi Steve, yes it was a public holiday, introduced in 1934 as „Feiertag der nationalen Arbeit“.
Cheers, Ade.

i like these "Tag Der Arbeit" tinnies, either worn or minty. i bought J. Angolia/D. Littlejohn`s great book, "Labor organizations of the Reich" to learn more about especially RAD. i thought earlier that the tinnies were for the NSDAP, but learned/read they were not.

Tag Der Arbeit
Couple more designs from Prof. Klein that follow the tradition of the May 1st Celebrations.
Sadly the 1935 set is still missing from my collection however the '34 and '37 pieces are present for your perusal.
cheers
Matt
