    Default Unidentified Nazi Eagle

    Good afternoon all.

I've just bought a small lot of items, and this was included. I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

    It measures,

Wing tip to wing tip - 11cm
    Top to bottom - 5.5cm
(two pence in last pic for scale)

The previous owner aquired this during the mid 90's at an auction house in London. He thinks it's from a briefcase strap, or something similar, but I'm not so sure.

I'm certainly no expert on these type of things, so I could do with a keener eye than mine. The detail looks very good, but the pins/slide to the rear have got me bamboozled! They're solid, and look like they're for a belt, or strapping to be fed through.

    Any idea guys?

    JD,

Looks like a KM tropical helmet badge, whether it is right or wrong I don't know.

Cheers for the responses guys. The KM suggestion is plausable. I've just compared my eagle with a tropical KM helmet, and they look very very similar. Here's the link......

I'm still no nearer figuring out what this eagle is.

I've scoured the internet all night, and the closest thing I'm getting is the KM eagle. Could this really be what my eagle is?

Any further help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated guys.

    Cheers,
    JD

    JD,

I think that is what it meant to be but I don't like the look of the back of it.

I remember a spate of these in the 80s (Nottingham), if I remember correctly they were not good?!

It was a few years ago.

Maybe some KM collector will confirm it one way or the other for you.

    Regards

Sorry it is a British made fake from the late 1970's. Note the lugs and the fact the swastika is canted and out of alingment. It is supposed to be a KM eagle.

Jock is correct: I remember these too.

    Cheers, Ade.
