Default Unknown Eagle Badge...Traditions Abzeichen or Weimar?

Generally concentrating my collection on TR items this eagle came in with a bundle of stuff that I purchased this week.

It is made from aluminium has pins pressed in pretty much like any other period badge but I really don't know what it is.

    Has anybody any idea?

    Any help or opinions appreciated.

    All the best
    Doug

It's post-war: This is a cap badge for the Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS).

Just goes to show how manufacturing styles did not change much in the early post war period.

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Thank you HPL for your input. Spot on.
That was one direction I didn't think of going.

I thought I had an unusual TR eagle!
