Default Unusual pin, can anyone identify?

    Hi there,
I purchased this pin from an antiques guy at a flea market because it piqued my interest. I was thinking it could be some sort of early flying pin, perhaps pre-war? I have no idea really as I have never seen anything similiar to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

For those interested, a Dutch dealer is offering the same one for Ä20.- at present, listed as a DVL tinnie.
