V/2 with two red bars...what is it?

I found this in my box of German WW2 stuff I got at an auction. Does anyone know what it is?

I still don't know anything about this armband. Just wondering what "V/2" represents and if this armband is related to any holocaust activities.

I'd try to find another example of the red braiding used , that might help narrow it down a little .

Found out this is German WW1. I figure the V is the V Army Corps.
