Volkssturm Equipment

Hi,

I am planning on putting a mannequin of volkssturm man together. I have following items Feuerschutzpolizei tunic and visor, officer belt, holster, breadbag with strap with mess kit (have pre 1933 and post 1933 one) and canteen, gas mask and tornister (with and w/o fur).
My question is should I still put the volkssturm armband on it ?
Also, which combo would be more correct - old style canteen on the back of old "furless" tornister or regular one on the breadbag ?

The armband would be appropriate. Equipment late in the war would be whatever was available to be issued at the time.
