White Deutscher Volksstrum arm band help

Hello lads
Recently got back from a deceased estate sale from a Vet,
Was a little late in arriving and pickings were slim just as I was about to pack it I noticed a punch of papers with cloth in them
I pulled this out,





Now of course I it looks a little funny as I have never seen one like this.
I would like to know anyone else who may have one like this or know anymore info on this type, I think a little odd a WW2 would have a fake in his possession.

It is a total fantasy design. There would be no reason to produce an item that varied so much from the genuine Volksturm armband. Totally illogical. I am sorry to say it is total 4th Reich junk.

It's a fake, and was recently discussed, I will provided you with a link below.
Additionally, both appear to be the same example. Such is evident by the fake wear-dirt which matches one another. You can find this same method used on many of these style of fake armband as the fakers use it to make the item appear old, as well cover up the positive results of the black light test.
Knowing allIknew is a dealer, and was the thread creator over there, I truly hope he isn't trying to sell this to you. It clearly exhibits signs of known fakers methods and he already knows. I guess it's possible it's from a different seller and allIknew was just inquiring as it was offered to him as well.

Gutted, why would they go through this trouble to stash it in old paper and with the HMS hat ribbon.
Oh well this is why I usually stay away from German stuff.
Times wheres its been to good to be true it often is.
