White Ortsgruppenleiter Tunic
This private purchase tunic belonged to Felix Alteneder, Ortsgruppenleiter of Altenhof, located in the Muritz District, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The collar tabs indicate the pay grade of Haupt-Gemeinschaftleiter, the highest rank at the Ortsleitung level. The armband indicates the position of Ortsgruppenleiter. The tunic and a matching white top visor cap, now seperated, was brought back from WW2 by a Canadian veteran.
I have tried through a professional researcher to find more information on this man. He has sofar been unable to locate a dossier on Alteneder at the US National Archieves. Any information regarding this man including medals and decorations would be highly appreciated. What information I do have was found through Google.
