Hey guys!
It's been pretty slow lately for me...but I did attend a small militaria show here in Portland this morning and scored a few things. Most of them will be in the next update on our site...but one of them is staying with me!
The three "Hitler's Dank" pieces are part of the Gau Strassensammlung as is the blue stickpin. The broach is of course from the RADwJ and the round gold piece is a 'master shooter' award from Gau 35 Tirol. I had the bronze, silver & gold versions...so now I have the whole set! Funny thing is that we are adding a section on shooting donation pieces in our next book...so the timing was perfect!

I guess I might as well share this too...I just got this in late last week. It is a period postcard photograph showing a SS officer collecting for the Winterhilfswerk in the snow. I can't really tell what he is collecting but it wouldn't be hard to go back through the archives and find out what drives the SS participated in...that would at least be a start.
Nice finds Chrys! but what could the SS man have to sale? that pic is very cool.

They are good WHW era. I think that there was 12 in the series but not sure. My favorite one is the (Braunau) it has the city gate at the end of the town square in Braunau which leads to the street where Adolf Hitler was born. Very cool Dave. Chrys may help us with further info.
