WW2 Leather Greatcoat or not?

Hello all,

I have recently acquired the coat pictured here, it came from an elderly German now living in the UK.

I would appreciate any comments you may have about it, in particular is it military uniform. It has no epaulettes or internal hanging accessories for equipment. An unusual thing are numbers repeatedly printed inside - something like GW .1. 48. ???? Does this mean anything? The zip is Presto and the poppers are PRYM.

It's a civilian leather coat.

No shoulder board mounts , or dagger hanger makes it civilian .
