WWII Overcoat

Article about: Need a little help - have this black overcoat has six row button front ,buttons marked A&S +size also has the loops for slip on boards on the shoulder. It came with a Volksturm armband.

    Need a little help - have this black overcoat has six row button front ,buttons marked A&S +size also has the loops for slip on boards on the shoulder. It came with a Volksturm armband. Would appreciate any info relative to the possible branch of the overcoat.

    Hi Horst, I am wondering if this is a Heer greatcoat which has been dyed? I realise that the lining looks brown, but I know different fabrics take up dye differently. The cut certainly appears to be Heer in design.
