Have a look at this armband.

Article about: I took a few more of the stamps. There are three for sure on there. It is very dirty, so it is difficult to see if there may be more, or a number or anything else. Should I be looking for so

I've never seen anything like it. Any ideas?

Never seen one exactly like this before. But I think it might be good. Most likely done for use at a special one off event. Certainly worthy of some more research.

I take it you do realise that Hans Rickmers of one of the Nazis killed on November 9th 1923? His remains were buried at the Feldherrnhalle in Munich.

    Cheers, Ade.

No I did not realize that, but thank you Ade.

Just a very odd piece. I don't understand why the national symbol would be covered up, and with something so poorly made. I thought it might have been something done post war, like for a work detail, using surplus.

    Ah, glad to help!

A closer look at the ink stamps would be worthwhile.

    Cheers, Ade.

I'm no armband expert. Most of the time I think real ones are fake, and fakes are real. That is why its nice to have Ade around. However, to have an exercise in logic, most fakes are trying to look like something well known. Since this is an unknown design and setup, I would think that the chances of it being real are a little better.

Hi Ade, are your refering to Johann Rickmers? Is Hans the shortened version of Johann?

Hi Dan, yes, that is sometimes the shortened version of the name.

    Cheers, Ade.
