Re: NSDAP armband with printed symbol - is it real
I think it stands a good chance of a early style kampfbinde IMO.

Re: NSDAP armband with printed symbol - is it real
This is a difficult piece to judge from the pictures. The manner of stitiching the printed roundel to the band is quite unusual. I personally have never seen this construction before. I would not buy it based on pictures alone. In hand, I might feel differently.

Odd, the double ring of stitching. It could well be period, but, personally, I'd pass on it, or at the very least not spend too highly on it. William

Re: NSDAP armband with printed symbol - is it real
After looking at it for a while now I made up my mind and I say it's an original period piece. But that's just my opinion and that rarely counts. While it's definately not a textbook example of Kampfbinde for the reasons mentioned by Bob and William, it is certainly one that is good for a discussion and more meaningful and helpful comments than "Nice one!" and "I like it."

What does kampfbinde translate to?

It means warband or fightband roughly speaking.
