Order 21/39 about Dienstrangabzeichen gives a total of 29 ranks.
It is too much to split up all, so I give the numbers briefly.
Wonderful material.
In post 12 I mentioned the letter from the Deutsche Arbeitsfront.
For the interest of the forum-members I quickly (and very roughly) have put together the most important information
and descriptions, related to the various types of armbands. Note especially the section where is said Betrieb (III),
which is the use at concerns. There an armband could be worn by more then one person. This you also will find with a
Block-level and Zell-level and with all the other levels.
I did omit information about the wearing of the diamond with AO (Auslandsorganisation)-indication for Orts-, Kreis- and
Gau-level and information, related to the wearing of cuffbands for party judges (Kreisgericht, Gaugericht and Oberstes
Parteigericht). If members do have such bands (actually and in wearing) please PM me.
Maybe we can make a seperate thread about this!
I did NOT translate the functions and descriptions, sorry!
Block (I), Zelle (II), Betrieb (III, pay special attention to this and Ortsgruppenstab (IV).
The Block, Zelle and Betrieb all do belong to the Ortsgruppe der NSDAP (A).
Kreis- (B), Gau- (C) and Reichsleitung (D).
Great thread! Consise and very informative, thanks to the OP and other contributors!
Our Mr. Wim is a real treasure.
and Bob Coleman, as well, so there....
These pattern armbands were adopted in 1939 with the inception of all new political leader insignia.
