From the images, this appears to be a fine period original piece. These are quite common so I would suggest visiting high end sites like The Ruptured Duck and The Collectors Guild to get a feel what the top priced dealers are asking for them. You should certainly pay less than top top dealer price to a private party.

Looks kind of similar to mine in construction and condition and I paid $90 something (I believe) on rupturedduck.com. Mine has an rzm tag though, an additions that slightly ups the value..
