You don't want this badge. No period badge will have only the "RZM" and "Ges. Gesch." markings without the makers number included. This is found only on post war badges.
Tom
On certain badges like the hj honour badge you will find both ges.gesch and the RZM mark
Generally speaking, RZM licensing made "GES. GESCH." redundant for RZM-controlled items.
"Geseztlich Geschutz" means "legally protected" The majority of association pins and badges were outside of NSDAP licensing control. GES. GESCH. continued on many items before, during and after the RZM.
N.S.D.A.P. Sympathy Badge...................
Excellent, thanks for the help everyone! This was with a grouping of items, and this suggests that the whole grouping's going to be bad. You learn something every day!
Kind regards,
Robbie
What else is in the group? You never know.......
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
There was an SS armband and one of those Kriegsverdienstmedaille things. The armband looked like a two piece construction but the swastika didn't look right, in my opinion...
Robbie
Can you post photos of them?

The badge John shows is also a post war item IMO. The sympathy slogan badges were unofficial and should therefore never be marked with a RZM number or code.
Tom
I'll remember that about these badges; and I've requested more photos specifically close ups of the swastika in order to see the stitching, so just as soon as I get them, I'll post them here. Thanks!
Robbie
