    Default M1/72 Zimmermann Parteiabzeichen HELP!

Just picked up this Zimmermann yesterday. In hand it looked absolutely genuine, but after studying the enlarged details of my pictures compared to others I have found here, I have started to worry. Overall the pin looks good ,show's good detail, especially behind the red enamel, and appears to have good age. What I am worried about is the pin and the fact that the swaz doesn't took the inner circle at all 4 points. Also, the font of the 1 and 2 are different from others I have seen.

Are these just accepted variances of this maker over the life of production and I am worried for nothing, or did I pick up a pretty good looking fake?

Thanks for any and all help,
    Jim

You are correct see page 372 of Jo Rivetts party badge book. Also the sunken enamel on the swastika is usually a bad sign (but not always).

I think I saw this one on Craigslist. Yes a 'coffin' pin fake. I am glad the fakers are so sloppy.

Not Craigs list, a side deal with a friend. Really convincing fake to an inexperienced collector, of party pins anyway.

    Thanks,
