Hey guys I am being offered this party pin for a really decent price, which is what makes me leery of it for some reason. Hope someone can give me the green light on it, because I would love to have one in the collection.

100% good "early" badge --- pretty rough though so don't pay too much

I'm a total newbie on these pins (want one myself eventually) but I think the coffin pin is shaped differently. The coffin pin is bowed on the sides and flat on the edges I think.

    Hello,
This is a good 1920-32 Badge done by an unknown maker.
    All the best

Agree with slados28, I have the same one with a ding on the edge of the badge. Interesting about the badge is the way the RED is almost pink and the pebbling is very fine and "sandy"

Perfectly good original badge, although in rougher shape. If closer to relic price, maybe add to the collection.

Coffin pin plate is MUCH different than this

A coffin shaped pin plate. Notice the sides are parallel.

Here are some shots of my pin and how it looks in the sun. You can see the pink come out and the black looks purple when the light hits it just right.Click image for larger version.

The price is $20. Is that an OK price for the condition it is in?

    Sure seems like a steal
