In my opinion, these are all absolutely authentic.
I would still wait to hear from someone with more expertise on these items, as I am still learning. But, I would feel confident in purchasing these.
These are late in the war, painted versions, as opposed to the earlier enamel versions. I have always believed that when it comes to the late in the war versions, there are no fakes. But recently, I learned from forum member, Greg735, that in fact, there are some fakes of the late in the war versions floating around.. The RZM M1/159 and the RZM M1/108.
Take care, and congratulations on the great find!
Oh, and TippyCanoe7, I have a Q for yah... Am I seeing this right? Does the bottom right pin have a different backing than the other two, as far as the base where the actual pin connects to the badge? Kind of hard for me to make out. I would be interested to learn that even though all basically the same pin, one has a different style of pin connection.
Thanks.
Thank you very much! it is greatly appreciated. good eye on the backing, I did not initially notice that.
Interesting variation on the 3rd pin backing. Hopefully someone here will know why this difference exists.
