They're both O.K., but the condition isn't the best. Only if they were priced to sell would I take a second look, but that's me.

There is a list, although far away from anything complete. However, it is being constantly updated by historians etc. I don't know where to find it though so maybe others can help you.

    Regards, Ned.

On the small (25mm) badge made by Feuss I thought the small hyphen was supposed to nearly touch the tail of the S? and the O in socialist look almost square?

I know on the big Deschlers there are known examples without the GES GESCH above the pin plate but does the font not look too even?
Is this due to the polishing stage?
What about the extra 'edging' that is visible on the inner and outer legs of the swastika...It looks very poor for such a high quality award.

Like to learn more on these.

    All the best

    Hi Doug,

To discuss the questions you raise in detail will require far higher resolution pic's than this, so I wouldn't hold your breath, but there's enough visible to confirm them as gen.

    Regards, Ned.

    Thanks Ned,
the front of the small badge certainly looks to have a lot of the traits of a genuine badge but if there are anomalies I am guessing that is due to new research.
I was never too sure about the big Deschlers because of the various fitments that can be applied and the different markings that can be found but that swastika does look very poor.

I agree better pictures would be good but where has all that mercurial gilding gone.

    All the best
    Doug
