Hi Guys, this one came into work last week with a selection of other small badges, stick pins, tinnies etc.

It has had a hard life with some tiny scuffs and chips to the enamel. But it is original and that is what matters .

    Cheers, Ade.

The enamel seems a bit rough indeed but I'm sure it would clean up nicely for display, if one was so inclined. Looks like there's still a good amount of silver wash left. A q tip with some window cleaning fluid would do the trick.
Good quality maker, although their badges featured surprisingly shoddy looking M1 markings in contrast to the nicely designed and crafted obverses.

The badge is indeed rather grubby and would benefit from a gentle clean.

This one will be for sale in Hansons militaria auction here in the UK on Nov 23rd. I will post a link once the sales cataloge is up, about a week before the sale.

How do you suggest cleaning a badge like this? Is cleaning good for them or left natural?
