Here is a rarely seen brocade for a Bahnschutz Leader. It has a black wool backing and you will find variation in the color of the center strip. The aluminum buckle is marked with the Assmann A and DRGM. As a word of warning there are some very high quality repos of this buckle. They are marked like the originals but have a 43. Date.

I may be mistaken but the buckle reads Reichsbahn and not Bahnschutz. Is this not for a
    Reichsbahn leader?

It says Reichbahn but this is for Railroad Police. Railway officials worn this buckle.

Often the Reichsbahn and Bahnschutz buckles are still wrongly expressed
or explained. The first post is Bahnschutz. The golden buckle is Reichsbahn,
post 4, which was quite late introduced and worn by specific grades. As
    I tried often to explain: enlisted ranks for Bahnschutz did have their buckle;
enlisted ranks for Reichsbahn did NOT have a buckle at all.

Great brocade with the first post.

Not all with 43 are fakes. I owned one in the very early 1970's . At that moment
the Bahnschutz leaders buckle was not at all faked. I thought the first came
    in the mid-1980's!!

Why would an aluminum buckle be produced in 43? I thought they stopped producing aluminum buckles at the start of the war. Was the buckle zinc or another material? Here are some photos Ric posted on WAF and says it is a very good quality fake.

Anyone else have a opinion on these Bahnschutz leaders buckles. With the 43 followed by a period. My friend Garry has one and he can get his money back. Whim says he owned one in the 70's so they weren't making quality fakes back then.

I checked my photos from the 1970's. I finally found them.
I was convinced for 100% my buckle had the 43, but this was NOT!!
It had the Assmann and DRGM marking.

My mind is apparently not best anymore. Kirby. Sorry guys!

For the future: I have to check first before saying something!

The markings look like the fake ones we found, can you remember the DRK bought which had the bad markings and we opened a can of worms with it? This is one of them.
