Here is a Heer buckle; unmarked. My main concern is finish on rear of buckle. Is this a known repro or could it be original.

Not painted. The pic that looks colored is in different lighting. Unless you are referring to the prong hardware.

An original buckle by Assmann, again could have been a DAK buckle at some point hard to say, but original

Oh my - Are we sure??? The buckle marked $55 but dealer said not sure if good so said $25. Hey worth the gamble I said and handed over money.

The back reminds me of this Heer buckle in my collection. The front doesn't show signs of the grey finish on the back and the keeper.
