Default 3rd Order of the Red Star #1719751

Well its happened again, I saw this lovely star, at the right price of course, and couldn't say no to it. Number 1719751 with a very small chip to the left arm edge, otherwise in great worn shape. The post has a slight bend on it and it comes with the screw back. Not sure about research on it yet though, I guess issue early 1945..... Still learning the ways of the star

So I now have 3, with the very first one's research hopefully not far away. I also got a 'Defense of Moscow' and 'Capture of Berlin' Medals with booklets for both yesterday and another 2 piece cap star on the way.

Geez this soviet stuff in Addictive!

Preaching to the choir. . .

Very nice addition. I have some data points to give you an approximate sense of the awarding date:

    -#1695306 Awarded January, 1945

    -#1701928 Awarded October 21, 1944

    -#1725896 Awarded September, 1944

    -#1746520 Awarded March 18th, 1944

    -#1751963 Awarded March 14th, 1945

Please post your other documents and medals, perhaps in their own topic thread.

Thanks for that Bill, So odds on its a late 1944 award. I really enjoy these stars and the variations in all of them. It has the brightest red enamel of my three. Am sure this won't be the last either .Not sure on the research yet though

    Cheers Jason
