    Wondering what you blokes think of this one.
    Low numbered star but I'm not sure if it's a good one?The screw pin thread is stripped so the backing plate must not be original I would assume.
    Any opinions would be great

    I think it's been renumbered on the back Dave. I don't like the wear pattern on the back plus i think its been cleaned. I also thought the screw post arrangement was different for these early awards as well but don't take my word for that

    No, it's not the real deal. It seems to be a late-war Red Star (possibly MZPP?) with the reverse sandblasted, fake screwpost base added (possibly even the entire screwpost) and fake serial number applied.

    Ive just compare it to my high number award and yours seems to be missing some detail on the writing to the reverse also the enemal seems very dull. Although im just comparing the two.
