I've recently completed a rather interesting transaction in which I took a chance on a number of Red Stars from Sevastopol.
This one I have dubbed the 'lucky star' because its my first Mzpp star for my collection.

Its in fantastic condition as well, hardly any surface scratches and a nice even patina.

If only all my 'Sevastopol stars' were as nice as this one

Well Ritchie, the Sevastopol collection was the result of much web surfing asking questions of dealers and finally getting a reply from a guy who knew an antique dealer who had a pile of them.
Sadly no photos and certainly not of the quality we show here.
Finally I got him to take a picture on his mobile phone.Lucky Red Star. 1804655
Then it was down to choice and haggling with the offer of a bulk order *insert camel trader icon*
I didn't realise until I had paid that Ukraine has the same ban on cultural exports as Russia has...then followed weeks of tense waiting as the seller dispatched them 2 by 2 as he sidestepped the customs.
I've been a bit disappointed with a couple of them as I found chips that weren't visible in the photo (no surprise there then..) I've also been hugely pleased as I've realised that I got my first screwpost base and this Mzpp for what converted to a bit over $40 each
All in all a good bit of collecting business and excitement.
    Cheers!
