The serial number is 2694936. I love these badges.

I've never seen that type of screwplate before! Are the two oval shaped thingies part of the ring or soldered onto it?

I have a screwback similar to this, I think it came on a Guards badge. As we all know these things can swopped and changed around over the years. Without looking, I think mine is a pressing.

So, Red Stars were threaded the same as Gvardia badges?

The diameter of most, if not all, Guards Badge threads is smaller than that of orders (ORS, OPW, ORB, Lenin, Homeland, etc.).
