This seller is reliable, known for selling originals. He does however split up groups for more profit which is unacceptable in my eyes, yet common practice among dealers and sellers nowadays....unfortunately.
To me it is an original and I think the final sale price will go up quite a bit from where it's now ($ 103,50 at this moment).

The reverse has been polished in a peculiar way (look at those planed edges), but I believe the order to be original.

Thank u guys. Really appreciate your help.

For those interested, final sale price on Ebay: $ 197,50/ € 177,79.

What is considered a "normal" price range for these early stars? (100.000-150.000 range)
-
I have seen them sell for around 160 USD but then come back relisted.. which is odd. Next time same order sell for over 200 USD
Seem to vary a lot on eBay from week to week.

How about for early 1942 year red stars? I got mine, s/n 67586 for a bit more than $100 US. The only other one I’ve seen for sale was listed for around $400! That’s an insane price for hat imo.

Around the $ 400 is quite a reasonable price for such an early star. $ 100 is very cheap so you're either very lucky or got burned with a fake star (let's hope you were very lucky!)
The star that started this thread it is hard to put a price on I think. As Auke already mentioned, the reverse is heavily polished and even though 100% original it still lost a bit of its character like this. That could influence the price (for me at least these heavily polished stars lose their charme and thus also drop in value a bit...but that's just my opinion).
