Comrade Gavrilko has been participating in the Patriotic War since December 1942 and has been serving in the 85th Independent Medical Aviation Regiment since April 1944. Ever since he has proven to be a disciplined, hard-working, and conscientious officer.

He organized the duties of the flight’s technical personnel perfectly, and managed to make them work more closely together and mobilize them to carry out the tasks assigned to them. He himself works hard and he often helps others.

In difficult mountain conditions his flight serviced the aircraft prior to 520 sorties, without a single incident occurring through fault of the technical personnel.

Aside from leading his regiment and despite his heavy workload and being isolated from his base, he personally serviced an aircraft, thus ensuring the squadron’s continuous operations.

For organizing his duties exceptionally well and for carrying out his tasks at the front during the fighting with the German invaders in an exemplary manner, he deserves the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class.
