Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
Working as a mooring and pier boatswain, Comrade Ganichev has supported the safety of the submarine moorings at the base and despite abrupt changes in the meteorological conditions did not permit a single submarine accident on their moorings. His diligent service attitude and accurate accomplishment of his duties have earned his respect among the submarine officers. During air raid sirens he is always at his post, ready at any moment to render the necessary assistance to the submarines. During an enemy air raid in July, 1942 Comrade Ganichev displayed exceptional bravery, resourcefulness, and decisiveness in extinguishing a fire that had begun on a mooring due to the result of an enemy bomb. Risking his life Comrade Ganichev extinguished the flame, thus preventing the spread of the fire on the mooring and other structures.
He accomplishes his command’s orders quickly, accurately, and neatly, displaying both initiative and energy. He keeps the moorings, piers, and docks in full operational ability and is always ready in any meteorological and climactic conditions to accept submarines.
He has earned several commendations from the Red Banner Submarine Base during his service.
He has exhibited unlimited dedication to the Motherland in all aspects of his service.
For bravery, boldness, and decisiveness displayed during enemy aviation bombing, for safe dockage of the submarine moorings, and for excellent service he is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
